I figured that I would try some additional inks in colors. I got some Brown, Purple and Orange. Although I don't have additional airbrushes to match, I thought that I would be able to change over when really needed. Without Brown, it was taking a little bit of time to get an even brown color I was happy about by layering different colors. Sometimes you want and uneven coat (eg. leopard stencil), but other times you just want to grab brown and get the tattoo done in one fail swoop. At a recent event, Brown helped save time as we had to do at least 3 giraffes in a row. As for Purple, it helped me get a nice even purple color without the hassle of blending pink and blue and trying to even it out. Made my 2 part Nautical Star a breeze with a Black and Purple color scheme. Although I haven't tried Orange yet, I would expect the outcome to be the same. Having the extra colors saves time. Period. Maybe some additional airbrushes in the future isn't such a bad idea after all. My two cents.

I agree now, we have been running the standard nine colours with me thinking what do I need brown for I just mix purple and yello.
When I did the EBA Jaguar stencil with the yellow and purple it did not turn out that great (client was happy, but I wasnt).
I am definatly going to get some brown paint.

I added purple, fluorescent pink, and orange and I am so happy not to have to blend those colors anymore! I especially happy with the way the "pure" purple and pink look, instead of "blended" and I use them for almost every girls' tattoo. Although I usually still like to blend between yellow and red to get orange when I'm doing flames, having orange by itself saves time when I'm swamped with people, or when my yellow is acting tempremental.
